Cat Number 2

OK I know that a cat isn't crafting, but cats and yarn go together like butter and bread. We rescued a stray cat that was in the backyard. The poor thing was bone sticking out thin. It could barely walk. After checking over this friendly cat we saw that she was a girl and had been declawed. No wonder she was starving with out claws to catch her food. We couldn't let her outside to die so we brought her in and fed her. Daisy cat has her nose out of joint, but things are getting better. There have been no cats fights. The stray who I think we are going to call Molly just lays down when Daisy is near. Actually she sleeps all the time. Molly has been with us 1 week today and is doing better.

Molly 1 week ago.

Molly today. She no longer wobbles when she walks, and has started to bathe herself.

I finished another wash cloth this time it is a basket weave pattern. I don't know if I am going to make another just yet.

I have been plying my brown woolen beast to the Mohair kid roving 100%. I like the way it is turning out. Can't wait until I have enough to make some thing.

I also spun up some of the wool I bought from a girl at the guild. It is a white and purple blend. So far I am not liking they way it is turning out. The color looks muddy to me. I might add some mite white for a better contrast,or ply it with white.

With the help from Amy we finished another pumpkin hat for the guild. I think I mentioned before I some how got it twisted or some thing and it was knitting backwards. Amy fixed that problem and finished the decreases in the hat. I finished the hat making and attaching the Icord stem.

I started another sock and I am currently working on the cuff. It should be the mate to sock number 1.

All in all not a bad week for fiber arts. I didn't think much would get done because with all the rain the sewers backed up into the basement and I have been cleaning up that mess. Though I wasn't feeling well for a few days (I blame sewer water) and got a bunch done those days.

Any body want a blck cat?
